Grading assignments becomes a breeze with Rubriko, allowing you to evaluate student work in record time. Once you have created an account, this guide will walk you through the essential steps of adding a course and setting up assignments with their corresponding rubrics. Once this initial configuration is complete, you'll be ready to streamline your grading process and save valuable time.
Step 1: Create a Course
- Navigate to the "Courses" section of the application.
- Click the "Add New Course +" button.
- Enter the course name (e.g., "Fundamentals of Nursing") and click Create Course.

Step 2: Create an Assignment and Set Up a Rubric with Assignment Guidelines
- Create an Assignment:
- Select the newly created course from the "Courses" section.
- Click "+ Add Assignment " and fill in the details (e.g., "Week 1 Essay").

- Add a Rubric and Assignment Guidelines:
- If you already have a rubric in your Learning Management System (LMS), copy and paste it directly into the system. The application will format the rubric automatically.
- Click “Save Rubric” and the AI will take what you pasted in and convert into the format necessary for the AI to grade the assignment.
- Add the optional assignment guidelines using the same steps.

Step 3: Grade Student Submissions
- Navigate to the "Grading" section of the application and click “Grade” next to your new course.

- Choose the assignment you want to grade.

- Submit Student Work:
- Copy and paste the student submissions from your LMS into the box which says “Paste the assignment here…” or click “File Upload” and select or drag the student submission into Rubriko.

- Click "Grade Assignment" and the AI will evaluate the submission using the rubric you set up.
- Review the Grading Results:
- The system provides feedback for each criterion and assigns a score.
- Make any adjustments to the feedback or scores if necessary.
- Copy Feedback to LMS:
- Click the "Clipboard" button to quickly copy the AI-generated feedback. Paste this feedback into your LMS if needed.

- To see the rationale behind the AI’s scoring, click the "Info" button. This displays the rubric and the AI's explanations.

Step 5: Input Grading into LMS
- After reviewing and finalizing scores and feedback, input them into your LMS.
- Make any final edits to the feedback if needed before submitting in the LMS.
